Closed : Audit Supervisor Role

We are looking for an experienced and qualified Audit Supervisor to perform audits and other administrative duties to support the audit process and supervise the audit team. Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting essential
  • Completed SAICA articles
  • Exposure and knowledge of MFMA and PFMA
  • Exposure and knowledge of IFRS and auditing standards
  • Exposure and knowledge of Teammate audit software
  • CaseWare and Draftworx (advantageous)
  • Valid driver’s license

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the audit process from planning, execution to reporting
  • Prepare and execute the audit plan and strategy
  • Prepare and present audit reports Supervise, coach and guide other audit team member
  • Administers and manage audit budget
  • Train, develop and appraise audit team
  • Client liaison on behalf of the firm

Client responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively supervise the Audit process with appropriate consideration of audit risk issues and accounting technical matters;
  • Demonstrate the ability to engage in fieldwork on client’s sites to ensure the smooth delivery of the Audit process
  • Demonstrate expertise in primary accounting frameworks (IFRS and IFRS for SME) and in related financial reporting matters
  • Demonstrate expertise in using Draftworx to perform an assurance engagement in compliance with auditing standards
  • Identify areas requiring improvement in the client’s business processes and possible recommendations and prepare and deliver Management Letter to be provided to the client.
  • Maintain excellent client and audit team relationship

  • Effectively engage and supervise Audit process with appropriate consideration of audit risk issues and accounting technical matters;
  • Demonstrate expertise in primary accounting frameworks (IFRS and IFRS for SME) and in related financial reporting matters in both private and public sector audits
  • Identify areas requiring improvement in the client’s business processes and possible recommendations
  • Auditing skills and familiarity with the firm’s audit methodology.
