We are looking for an experienced and qualified Audit Manager to perform audits and other operational and practice management tasks in a cost and time efficient manner. The position is based in our Nelspruit Office, effective 1st of April 2021, applications close 5 March 2021
Minimum requirements:
- Completed BCom or Bcompt Accounting degree
- Completed Honours degree
- Completed SAICA Articles
- Must be a Chartered Accountant or Associate General Accountant (South Africa)
- Registered SAICA Assessor a Must
- Technical proficiency in CaseWare (advantageous)
- Valid driver’s license
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the audit process from planning, execution to reporting
- Prepare and execute audit plan
- Prepare and present audit reports
- Plan and manage other audit team members
- Oversees and manage audit budget
- Train, coach, develop and appraise audit team
- Key client liaison on behalf of the firm
Client responsibilities:
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively manage the Audit process with appropriate consideration of audit risk issues and accounting technical matters
- Demonstrate the ability to lead and manage fieldwork on client’s sites including liaising with other Motlanalo departments to ensure the smooth delivery of the Audit process
- Demonstrate an application and solution-based approach to problem solving, referred to for research on delivery of solutions in that field on client assignments
- Demonstrate expertise in primary accounting frameworks (IFRS and IFRS SME) and in related financial reporting matters
- Demonstrate expertise in using Draftworx to perform an assurance engagement in compliance with auditing standards; and
- Identify areas requiring improvement in the client’s business processes and possible recommendations and prepare and deliver Management Letter to be provided to the client.
People responsibilities:
- Manage, coach, train appraise auditors through sharing experience and knowledge appropriately;
- Contribute to effective team work in internal engagement situations; and
- Provide on-the-job training for developing auditing skills and familiarity with the firm’s audit methodology.

- Train, coach and develop other auditors staff through sharing experience and knowledge appropriately;

- Provide on-the-job training for developing auditing skills and familiarity with the firm’s audit methodology.
